Bristol RV Mission

"Hi.  I'm George Bristol from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  My wife, Alice, and I are the featured fictional characters in the book, The Bristol Expedition, created by Valerie and Al Orona.  I'm the senior writer at Monticello Publishing Company.  Alice is a free lance writer who works from home."
"George."
"Alice, I'm talking to the readers!"
"I know, but I want them to know the truth about what happened."
"Uh huh.  You mean the truth according to Alice."
"George!"
"Okay, go ahead."

"George came home one day and told me that his boss, Tom Jefferson, had given us the mission of going to our son's wedding in Southern California in a motor home so that we could write a book about the recreational vehicle style of traveling.  I got as mad as a hornet!  We had planned on flying to California.  Not only that, but our daughter, Susan, who also lives in Southern California, was expecting our first grandchild and we only had three weeks of vacation time to see the kids and come back!"

"She was as mad as a dozen hornets, rattling pots and pans and stomping all over the place.  I explained that Tom had given us eight weeks of vacation, was going to pay all of our expenses and that he wanted her to give the book the woman's perspective on RVing.  What really sealed it was when I told her I needed her help and offered her the coauthorship.  Isn't that right, Alice?"

"Well, it was an offer I couldn't refuse.  Now, I love George deeply, but there were times on the trip when I could have ... well, why don't you read about all the funny and unexpected situations that happened to George, and to me.  How would you have handled the different situations we encountered along the trail?"

"Folks, read the book, judge for yourselves.  Veteran RVers and camping people will relate to us.  Wannabe RVers will learn about the personal adjustments that have to be made when in a motor home and still enjoy each other's company and have fun together."
"Amen to that, George.  Folks, if you can't travel, then come RVing with us.  We're never boring.  We're planning more trips and will have more adventures.  We'll meet you down the road apiece."

The Bristol Expedition was featured in the Western RV News and Recreation, October 2003 issue.

The Bristol Expedition is available online at IUniverse.com, amazon.com, bn.com and several other internet bookstores.
